Costa Rica v Serbia Odds

Costa Rica will be hoping to upset the odds at a World Cup for the second tournament running after they remarkably topped a group that included England, Uruguay before eventually losing out to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals in 2014.

They qualified for this year’s World Cup by finishing second to Mexico in the CONCACAF section and their qualification was based on defensive solidity, with seven of their ten matches going under 2.5 goals

Under 2.5 goals on Sunday is an 8/15 punt with Coral but it is worth noting that Costa Rica appear to have lost a bit of their defensive shape of late, losing six of their last eight internationals, including successive defeats in warm-up games against England (2-0) and Belgium (4-1) recently.

Oscar Ramirez has plenty to ponder and Costa Rica make little appeal at 4/1 for the win this weekend, with Serbia currently 10/11 favourites for a vital victory in Group E.

Costa Rica v Serbia First Goalscorer Odds

Serbia are many people’s tip to be the ‘dark horses’ in Russia as they qualified for their first World Cup finals since 2010 by topping a qualification group that included Republic of Ireland, Australia and Wales.

Aleksandar Mitrovic weighed in with six goals during qualifying and the forward has been in fine form for his country, scoring 14 goals in his last 20 appearances, including a hat-trick in a 5-1 friendly win against Bolivia last week.

Mitrovic also sparkled during a loan spell at Fulham, scoring 12 Championship goals after signing in January to help the Cottagers return to the Premier League, and the in-form Serbian striker can maintain his rich vein of form by scoring at anytime (13/8 with Unibet) on Sunday.
