World Super 6 Perth

Jason Scrivener (each way)
   Best Bet
@ 25 / 1
David Lipsky (each way) @ 28 / 1
Lucas Herbert (each way) @ 50 / 1
Nick Cullen (each way) @ 66 / 1

The Format

The tournament had been running as a traditional stroke-play event since 2012 but there was a change of format in 2017 as there was a cut after 36 holes, and another cut following a further 18 holes, with the top-24 players then going through to a match-play contest (played over six holes) on Sunday. Are you keeping up?

Brett Rumford adapted best to the set-up last year as the Australian took the title and he is 33/1 this week, while 2014 Perth winner, Thorbjorn Olesen, can be backed at 25/1. Lee Westwood (25/1) and Kiradech Aphibarnrat (25/1) also tee up…

The Selections

We fancy Jason Scrivener is the man to beat though as the Western Australian native is local to these parts and he has used his knowledge to good effect at Lake Karrinyup in the past, finishing 19-28-15-3-4 in his past five visits. A semi-finalist last year, Scrivener has since won his first pro title at the NSW Open Championship on home soil and he tied for 6th in Dubai recently. We are backing the 28-year-old to bounce back from his missed cut in Malaysia last week.
Tip #1: Jason Scrivener (each way) @ 25/1 with Betfred – 1/4 odds on 4 places.

David Lipsky has endured a quiet couple of years since winning the 2014 European Masters and he made a slow start to 2018, although there have been signs that the American is starting to find his form again. A tie for 6th in Dubai was followed by a tie for 17th in Malaysia, while he previously finished in the top-ten at Lake Karrinyup in 2016.
Tip #2: David Lipsky (each way) @ 28/1 with Betfred.

Meanwhile, Lucas Herbert was runner-up at the aforementioned NSW Open towards the back end of last year and he has secured three top-eight finishes in four starts since – tied 6th at the Australian Open, tied 7th at the Australian PGA Championship and tied 8th at the Singapore Open.

Herbert reached Sunday’s match-play in Western Australia last year and he looks decent value at 50/1.
Tip #3: Lucas Herbert (each way) @ 50/1 with Ladbrokes – 1/4 odds on 4 places.

Finally, Nick Cullen tied 7th at the Vic Open in Australia last week as he extended his run of events without a missed cut (on the Challenge and Australasian Tours) to ten events. Cullen has picked up eight top-25 finishes in his last ten outings, while he has a decent record in Perth, finishing in the top-15 in 2016 before making the cut for Sunday’s match-play in 2017.
Tip #4: Lucas Herbert (each way) @ 66/1 with Unibet.
