Home And Away

Tottenham start the day in fifth place, five points clear of Arsenal, and it is Spurs who are worthy 21/20 favourites (Betway) after only losing one league game at Wembley Stadium, where they have already beaten the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool this season.

In contrast, Arsenal’s record on the road is abysmal as they have won only seven away games in the top-flight since thrashing West Ham on 3rd December 2016, losing 13 and drawing five since. That is a quite woeful record and we can’t back them on the road, even with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan amongst their ranks.

The Gunners did beat Spurs at The Emirates in November but we think they will struggle here…

Head-To-Head

There is the promise of goals in this fixture as both teams to score has paid out in six of the past eight Tottenham v Arsenal meetings, with both teams extremely impressive going forward.

Both teams to score is 1/2 on, while a Tottenham win combined with both teams to score is 12/5 (Betfair)

Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham have scored in 14 games in a row and Arsenal have scored in nine on the bounce, albeit the Gunners have gone eight without a clean sheet.

They will be wary of the threat posed by Harry Kane, who has scored in five of his six league appearances against Arsenal (six goals in total), and he is 11/4 favourite to score first or 5/6 to score at anytime (Paddy Power).
