Their 4-2 win over Stoke on Boxing Day equalled the top-flight record of 13 consecutive wins in a single season. The last team to achieve this feat was Arsenal in 2001-02.

Stoke provided Antonio Conte’s side with a stern test in an entertaining game on Saturday but the Blues eventually prevailed thanks to two goals from Diego Costa and one apiece from Willian and Gary Cahill.

With Liverpool held to a draw at Sunderland on Monday, Chelsea could extend their lead at the top to a commanding eight points. Chelsea have won their last six away from home and have conceded just one goal.

Tottenham have enjoyed two 4-1 wins in the past week over Watford and Southampton respectively. A win over Chelsea could potentially see them go third depending on other results. Both Dele Alli and Harry Kane scored two each at Vicarage Road in a dominant display.

Spurs have won their last four league games, scoring 13 goals and conceding three. Both Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen could return for Spurs after they missed the win over Watford through suspension.

For Chelsea, Pedro is back after a ban and Nemanja Matic is available after being rested for the game against Stoke. There are injury concerns for defenders Marcos Alonso and John Terry.

Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea Match Betting Odds

The home side are 7/4 with Bet365 for the win while Chelsea are 23/10 with Coral. A draw is 23/10 with Betfred. In the both teams to score market, yes is 7/10 with Bet365, no is 21/20. Given Chelsea’s defensive strength it’s hard to back against them but Spurs have looked good in attack of late albeit against mid-table opposition. So for that reason I’m picking a draw.

Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea First Goalscorer Odds

Diego Costa is favourite to score first and can be backed at 4/1 with Bet365. Spurs striker Harry Kane is 5/1 to continue his fine form while Dele Alli is available at 8/1.
