Warrington, donning a perfect 23-0 record will go toe-to-toe with Irishman Patrick Hyland who has only been beaten twice in his 33 fights as a professional.

During the official weigh-in on Friday, Patrick Hyland weighed-in two pounds over the weight-limit. Despite this, he will still be able to fight, yet he will not be able to fight for the WBC title even if he does overcome Warrington.

Warrington will be looking to pick up from where he left off, after a hard-fought points victory over Japan’s Hisashi Amagasa back in April. The 25-year-old is seeking to improve his chances of gaining a world-title shot, while Hyland himself had an opportunity to become WBC featherweight champion in April but he was beaten by American Gary Russell by knockout.

Warrington’s relentless attitude and aggressive style may be difficult for Hyland to cope with, Warrington’s tendency to throw quick-punch-combinations is a huge threat. Hyland’s defeat to Russell gave the impression that speed is an attribute which Hyland struggles to deal with, which saw him on the canvas three times in quick succession. With an electric atmosphere behind Warrington, the match-up could be a very spicy occasion.

The fight could be a very close one, the fact that Warrington only has 4 knockout victories on his record may mean that the fight could go the full-distance and be decided by points. Hyland inhabits hurtful punching-power which has seen just under half of his 31 wins come by way of knockout. All embracing, this one could be decided in the latter stages of the fight with the bout being so evenly matched.

Sky Bet have Warrington at 1/5 to win, in comparison to Hyland being 7/2.

Dillian Whyte v Dave Allen

Tips Dillian Whyte to win between rounds 4-8

Brixton heavyweight Dillian Whyte will face Dave Allen in what looks to be a tasty-affair. The tension has been built-up between the duo on social-media after a series of confrontations.

After undergoing surgery on his shoulder, Dillian Whyte is gearing himself up for a chance to fight for a world title. Whyte’s last victory came against Ivica Bacurin last month with a sixth-round knockout. Whyte’s only defeat came against current IBF world-champion Anthony Joshua in January where he lasted seven-rounds, which is longer than anyone has lasted against Joshua to this day.

With 14 knockouts from his 17 wins, Dillian Whyte’s natural power is apparent and with the help from new coach Mark Tibbs alongside a new strength and conditioning regime, Dillian Whyte is expected to win this one. SkyBet.com have Whyte at 1/7 to win.

His opponent Dave Allen has an unbeaten professional record of 9-1-0 including six knockouts. Doncaster-born Allen will be looking to make an upset, ‘The White Rhino’ was questioned by Whyte during a press-conference where he was asked ‘Who have you fought?’ which is the concern coming into the fight as Allen is yet to face anyone on the level that Dillian Whyte is at.

Allen predicted that he will win the fight in the latter stages, whereas Whyte is hoping to end the match-up as early as possible and make a real statement of intent in his quest for a world-title.

Whyte is the favourite for this one, a win for Whyte between the fourth and eighth round is 8/1 (Sky Bet bookmakers), which is a worthwhile bet.

There is a Huddersfield derby on the agenda, with Tyrone Nurse and Tommy Coyle facing-off for the light-welterweight Lonsdale Belt. Brummies Frankie Gavin, Sam Eggington and hot-prospect Gamal Yafai will all feature on the night. Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell will face Argenis Mendez and will attempt to right the wrongs of his last fight which resulted in a points defeat against Yvan Mendy.
